The New Primary Curriculum

Sourced from www.theguardian.co.uk
The new primary curriculum has been available for viewing for some time now, but has only recently has it attracted media attention. There have been various reports in relation to the new "revised" curriculum, but as expected the new curriculum has not been accepted with open arms.

The curriculum is being described to be narrow in its subject area and does not allow for development of children's thinking.  Below are links to a couple of articles on the matter; One from the Times Education Supplement and one from the BBC education page. It is interesting to compare the two articles and views which are taken. Both articles suggest a distinct lack of content within the curriculum and do not praise it. Take a look and comment your thoughts!
