2Simple Music Toolkit- 2Compose (Podcast)

This is a simple how-to guide for non-specialists to teach core musical concepts and is closely linked to the QCA schemes of work for Music and ICT.

The 2simple toolkit is a correlation of program for foundation stage, Keystage 1 and Keystage 2 introducing the concept of rhythm, pitch, melody, tempo and harmony in a full interactive, but creative way. This podcast explores one element of this program called 2Compose. It is perfect for Keystage 2 who are beginning to write notated music on a stave. It does require some level of competence with note values, chords, rhythms and note positioning on a stave as this is an essential part of the program.

  1. Another great podcast! Really easy to use. What a great way of getting children to start writing music. I have had this program on my laptop for a while but had no idea how to us it. Thanks.
